The "buzz" in the technology industry today is Convergence - using the IP data network for other services, like video, security, environmental control, and telephony. Since 1998 Compass has been involved with the developments in convergence and especially IP telephony. Compass will present a state-of-the-street briefing on voice over IP (VoIP), followed by an in-depth working/design session to discuss and explore participants' particular interests, needs, and issues related to VoIP. We will lay out industry directions and focus on your specific requirements.

Presenters:

This session will be presented by two of Compass' consultants - one a voice consultant and the other a data consultant.

Geoffrey C. Tritsch is President of Compass Consulting International, Inc. and a well-respected consultant in the unique voice, data, and video needs of large, nonprofit organizations. Mr. Tritsch has more than 30 years technical experience in all aspects of telecommunications. A frequent lecturer for telecommunications seminars and association gatherings, he has also published numerous articles in telecommunications industry magazines and journals.

An expert in harnessing information technology to the service of higher education, Dr. Robert Kuhn has amassed a wealth of experience in over 15 years as an academic and an IT professional. As Senior Consultant with Compass Consulting International, Inc., Bob focuses on assisting clients with management and planning for information technology. His core competencies extend deep into the fundamentals: systems and applications technologies and complex networking.
